WILMINGTON, Ohio - Throughout the coming months, the Wilmington College athletics department will be highlighting senior student-athletes who had their senior seasons cut short due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

Today's senior salute is Bryce Fordyce. A three-year member of the program, Fordyce has appeared in 13 games in his career with three hits and two runs scored, all during his freshman season.

What is your major? - Educational Studies & History

What is your favorite class at Wilmington College? - Any education class taught by Jane Bogan.

What is your favorite memory with the baseball program? - My favorite baseball memory would be the road trips, practices games and the bonding with my teammates - "Gig Em".

What are your plans after graduation? - I plan to attend the University of Akron for graduate school to pursue a master's in school counseling while also coaching high school baseball.

Do you see yourself returning to Wilmington to compete in 2021? - Unfortunately, it's not in the cards for me to come back financially. I thank God, my family and everyone who made my time at Wilmington College one of the best I could ever ask for.

What is your message to underclassmen on the impact of COVID-19? - For the upcoming underclassmen, never take it for granted enjoy every part of the game fall season, winter workouts, open fields and finally the season. Enjoy every moment and don't hold back leave it all on the field as you never know when it's your last time competing. Be great every single day in everything you do. Be the best version of yourself day in and day out. I'm forever thankful for Wilmington College. "7-OUT, Gig'Em".
