The Wilmington College men's cross country team played host to the JennaStrong Fall Classic Friday afternoon. The annual meet honors fallen teammate Jenna Parlette who collapsed while in the lead of a race her junior year (2013). The event brought 30 teams, many individual runners, and Wilmington alumni to Wilmington's campus this year. In the field, the Fightin' Quakers finished 19th- with all of the scoring members of the team finishing in the top half of the field.

  • Senior Hunter Stith (Batavia, OH/Batavia) was the first to cross the finish line for the Fightin' Quakers. His time of 27:24.0 in the 8K race earned him 49th-place in a field of 329 runners.

  • Freshman Ryan Honkomp (Maineville, OH/Little Miami) and senior Cameron Erwin (South Vienna, OH/Northeastern) crossed the finish line within two seconds, and one place, of each other. Honkomp finished in 28:39.5 to earn 111th-place, while Erwin ran in for 112th-place with a time of 28:41.0.

  • Next to complete the race was freshman Gage Clemens (Fairmont, WV/Senior). He posted a 29:09.0 to earn 142nd-place.

  • The final Fightin' Quaker to score was sophomore Cameron Phelps (Cincinnati, OH/Princeton) who crossed the finish line for 155th-place with a time of 29:23.4.
